In the afternoon of September 10, Zeng Lixin, member of theparty group and deputy director of Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Bureau; Liu Tiebing, second-level inspector; Li Yangbao, deputy director ofBasic Research Department, and Gu Xingchen, third-level officer of BasicResearch Department, came to our university to investigate the science andtechnology innovation platform. Zou Dingyuan, Deputy Secretary General of LoudiMunicipal People's Government; Hu Shaohua, Secretary of the Party Group andDirector of Loudi Science and Technology Bureau; Peng Xin, Deputy Director ofLoudi Science and Technology Bureau; President Liu Tie Ming, Vice President ZhuQiang, Scientific Research department and others accompanied.
Professor Peng Yangxi, Director of the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Fine Ceramics and Powder Materials, introduced the joint establishment of the laboratory with the National Electronic Ceramics ProductQuality Supervision and Inspection Centre (Loudi) and Loudi Andias Electronic Ceramics Co Ltd. Based on the university, using the joint model of mutual recruitment of talents and sharing of instruments, as well as the research directions of the laboratory and the achievements made in electronic ceramicsand its powder materials in recent years,the scientific researchand social service achievements. Zeng Lixin fully affirmed the laboratory's innovation in the formation mode and the effectiveness of in-depth cooperation between industry, academia and research in enterprises. He pointed out that the laboratory should follow the direction of Hunan's high-tech development, takethe actual needs of the country and enterprises as the guide, and focus itsscientific research efforts on industrial development problems to increase production and efficiency.
At the research site of the laboratory for the ecological remediation of antimony compound pollution in tin mines of the school of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Professor Duan Renyan gave a comprehensive lecture and report on solving the problem of antimony compound pollution from the intersection of biology, ecology, materials science,environmental engineering and ecological simulation. After fully understandingthe experimental equipment, faculty strength and the teaching and research results achieved, the leaders of the Provincial Science and Technology Department expressed their high appreciation for the work of the laboratory and fully affirmed the previous work had done by the university and the team for the ecological remediation of antimony compound pollution in tin mines, hoping thatthe laboratory could overcome difficulties and serve the "three high and four new" strategy of Hunan.
