In the evening of June 17, the grand final of the 10th"Ruiqi Cup" Career Planning Contest was held in the Concert Hall of Yifu Building. The contest was co-sponsored by the School of Innovation andEntrepreneurship, the University Youth League Committee and the School ofBusiness, and co-organized by the Student Union of the School of Business andthe Human Resource Management Teaching and Research Center, with the exclusivesponsorship of Hunan Ruiqi Electric Company. The contest lasted for more thanone month, with more than 1,000 registered participants. After the fiercecompetition in the preliminary round, the replay and the semi-final, a total of10 players advanced to the grand final. President Liu Tieming, Vice PresidentCao Xin, and lead of municipal human resources and social security bureauattended the final contest, with the join of local news media, and staff andnearly 300 teachers and students of the university.
The contest kicked off with the collective appearance of 10contestants. Afterwards, the contestants entered the personal career planningpresentation session, in which they made precise plans for their futurecareers, taking into account their own professions, career interests and careerinclinations. The second part of the final was a career scenario simulation, inwhich the contestants combined their career roles according to the careerscenarios designed in advance, and experienced the working scenarios of theircareer roles with the help of the assistant actors.
Liu Hongran, Dean of the School of Innovation andEntrepreneurship, commented that this year's contest had reached new heights interms of format, content and competition system, and she hoped that the contestwould continue to improve and motivate more people to plan their careers wellin advance and achieve their goals for a better life.
After a fierce competition, Shan Linxiang from the School ofPhysical Education won the first prize, Tang Jiahui and Luo Qilian from theSchool of Law the second prize, Zhu Ge, Su Jinglan and Sun Kaiyi from theSchool of Business, Dang Xin from the School of Education, Liu Yuzhou from theSchool of Foreign Studies, Zhang Ni and Zhang Jingchi from the School of Marxismthe third prize; Xie Jia, Ouyang Chunjing, Cao Yuhong, Cao Tingting, Chen Lingand Sun Weijing won the Outstanding Instructor Award; the School of Materialsand Environmental Engineering, the School of Foreign Studies, School ofBusiness, School of Education, School of Marxism and School of Fine Arts andDesign won the Outstanding Organisation Award.
