From November 12 to November 25, 2017, our university held a two-week cultural exchange program for 20 students from the cooperative university in Thailand --Suranaree University of Technology.

Upon arrival, a warm welcome and reception from teachers and students of HUHST was received by Thai students. Vice President Chen Zhiguo, on behalf of the university, delivered a speech at the welcome meeting. He encouraged Thai students to study hard and wished them a happy life in our university. During their stay, Thai students participated in a variety of cultural lessons and cultural experience activities, including Chinese language, calligraphy, Chinese painting, pottery, Chinese kung fu, dragon and lion dance performance, etc. They also went to Daxiong Mountain, the ancient residence of Chiyou, for a two-day cultural experience of Loudi. They deeply experienced the profound culture of Loudi, and the unique features of China's landscape.

During the exchange, Thai students not only experienced the splendid culture of China, but also forged deep friendship with our students. Some students in our university worked as volunteers to help Thai students, providing convenience for them in learning and life and promoted the spirit of friendship, which showed a good image of our students. At the end of this program, students from Thailand have expressed their gratitude to the teachers and students in our university and they would like to spread Chinese culture in Thailand, and look forward to more student exchange activities between two universities.
